Cellulite Begone!

What we often refer to as orange peel skin, cottage cheese thighs, fat dimples, or saddlebags is typically an aesthetics issue. In more serious cases, pain or sensitivity can also be present. Ordinarily, cellulite tends to attack women’s thighs, buttocks, hips, and stomach. Unfortunately, to this day, there is no cure, treatment, or preparation that can make this problem disappear. Creams, lotions, serums, or liposuction cannot do it.

It is difficult to prevent cellulite because genetics play an important role in its occurrence. If your mother was severely marked by cellulite, your risks of having it increase as well. Other risk factors include poor diet, lack of exercise, excess weight, tight clothing, high heels, and tobacco. The best way to prevent or reduce the appearance of this orange peel is through a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise. Quitting smoking can also be beneficial.

“Anti-cellulite” creams can provide results but their effects are only temporary. These products can indeed help reduce the appearance of dimples but to do so, they must be used daily and religiously… or their effects will disappear soon after.
