Keep a straight posture and relax your shoulders; the top of the crutch should be at 5 cm from the armpit, the hand-rests at the wrist joint and the foot of the crutch, at approximately 15 cm from your foot.


Avoid lcrutches that are too high and will stress the shoulders; they will pressure armpits, cause thorax pain and arm numbness. On the other hand, crutches that are too short will provoke a damageable posture and a difficult gait.
